Inside the Intensive

Discover the methods behind Christine’s approach, from alignment mapping to cellular-level healing.
  • Muscle tension plays a major role in how your body feels and moves. It often develops from stress, overuse, or spending long periods in static positions—like sitting at a desk, standing for extended periods, or holding repetitive postures. Over time, this tension can create imbalances in how your body moves and functions.

What many people don’t realize is that muscle tension can actually be the root cause of both pain and alignment issues. When certain muscles become overactive or tight, they can pull joints out of their optimal position, leading to discomfort, limited mobility, and even compensations in other parts of the body.

Rather than focusing only on stretching or posture correction, our approach begins with releasing muscle tension, allowing your body to access a more natural, aligned state. From there, we incorporate hands-on therapy, movement retraining, and targeted strengthening to help your body learn how to maintain that newfound alignment and keep muscles relaxed and supportive. This creates a more balanced foundation for pain-free, efficient movement.

Relieving muscle tension isn’t just about feeling better—it’s about creating a strong, stable body that works with you, not against you.

  • Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) is a gentle and non-invasive treatment that uses extremely low-level electrical current—so subtle you won’t even feel it—to support tissue healing and pain relief.

    • How it works: FSM delivers specific frequencies to targeted tissues, helping increase the body’s production of ATP (its natural energy source) by up to 500%. This boost can accelerate healing, reduce inflammation, and support cellular repair.

    • Why it’s effective: Each frequency is chosen based on the type of tissue being treated (muscle, nerve, fascia, etc.) and the condition present (inflammation, scar tissue, pain). When the correct frequency is used, many patients experience immediate softening of tight tissue and significant pain relief.

    • Conditions treated: FSM has shown success in addressing inflammation, fibromyalgia, trigger points, myofascial pain, and even acute injuries and post-surgical healing—especially when used within hours of injury.

    • What to expect: Some patients feel better right away, while others may notice changes a few hours later. Mild, temporary side effects like fatigue or flu-like symptoms can occur due to the body detoxing stored waste products. Drinking plenty of water before and after treatment helps minimize these effects.

FSM is a cutting-edge tool that supports long-term healing by working with your body at the cellular level.

  • Hypermobility means your joints move beyond the typical range of motion, which can lead to joint instability, muscle overuse, and chronic pain—even in people who appear very flexible. While often seen in dancers, yogis, and gymnasts, hypermobility can affect anyone and isn’t always linked to athletic activity.

To compensate for loose or unstable joints, the body often creates muscle tension as a form of protection. This can result in chronic tightness, pain, and fatigue—even though the joints themselves are very mobile. It’s common for hypermobile individuals to feel “tight” or restricted, despite having more flexibility than average.

Most people don’t know they are hypermobile and how to adapt their routines to support the healthy movement of their body. We will help you understand your unique movement patterns and teach you how to build strength, control, and stability around hypermobile joints. Treatment may include manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and corrective exercises designed to reduce tension, improve support, and help you move with greater ease and confidence.

  • Manual therapy includes hands-on techniques used to relieve pain, improve mobility, and restore function, including:

    • Myofascial Release: Gentle stretching to release tension in the connective tissue (fascia) that surrounds muscles and organs, helping reduce pain and improve movement.
    • Craniosacral Therapy: Light-touch therapy focused on the membranes and fluid around the brain and spinal cord to relieve stress and support the body’s natural healing.
    • Strain Counterstrain: A gentle technique that places the body in specific positions to relax tight muscles and interrupt pain reflexes.
    • Trigger Point Therapy: Focused pressure applied to tight muscle areas to relieve localized and referred pain.

These techniques are often used in combination to address the root cause of your symptoms and promote long-term healing.
